Ozgur Karakas is a celebrated entrepreneur and operations expert whose journey in the culinary world began with an unexpected twist. Born in Istanbul, Karakas moved to the UK to pursue a master's degree in finance at The University of Cardiff, but his path took a new direction when he discovered his passion for operations engineering in the vibrant restaurant scene of London. His career is a story of bold decisions, innovative concepts, and a relentless drive to bring unique dining experiences to the world.Karakas gained invaluable experience at Busaba Eathai, where he spent nine years mastering the art of operations management. He played a crucial role in shaping the restaurant's reputation as the best Thai cuisine spot in London, embracing the Gan Gin Gan Yuu philosophy by Alan Yau. Karakas’s operations expertise was further solidified during his pivotal role at Princi, a popular Trattoria/Bakery/Caffee. Following Starbucks' acquisition of Princi in 2016, he helped guide its restructuring and global expansion.

Karakas's love for Neapolitan pizza flourished during his time at Princi, leading to the creation of NONA, a celebrated organic pizza chain in Belgium. The success of NONA inspired Karakas to diversify his entrepreneurial portfolio. He co-founded Buns And Buns in Covent Garden, a renowned Asian fusion restaurant praised by Stylist Magazine as one of London's best dining spots.

His entrepreneurial spirit continued to soar with the launch of Cache Cache, an exclusive club in London that quickly gained recognition in Forbes Magazine. In 2021, Karakas introduced Na Na, a Middle Eastern restaurant that became a staple in Covent Garden Market, further demonstrating his knack for creating unique and captivating culinary experiences. He then expanded his empire with Buns Away, a counter restaurant at Bluewater Shopping Center, showcasing his versatility and ambition.
